Orthosiphon aristatus - Java Tea, this is an attractive South East Asian herbs, slender, smooth or hairy undershrub 30 to 60 cm in height. The leaves are in distant pairs, narrowed into the stalk. The calyx is bell-shaped, with naked throat and two slender lower teeth. Researchers reports the leaves contain a high percentage of potassium salts, a small quantity of volatile oil and a bitter alkaloid-orthosiphonin. |
